Join us on Wednesdays, starting on July 17th, as we read and discuss, Living The Gospel in the Grey; The Art of Coming Alongside, by Rob Schrumpf. From the back cover of the book; “The idea of this book is not to give another how-to manual, but to hopefully encourage the church to live the Gospel in a way that engages their neighbors, friends, and total strangers with the truth and grace of the Gospel — authentically, consistently, lovingly, and contextually.”

The Movement Project is participating in a fundraiser to support ATRT research. You are invited to participate by donating gently worn, used and new shoes. Just go through your closest and storage and gather those shoes that you (or kids) have grown out of or are out of style or out of season. Then bring them to church on Sunday, June 10th.
These shoes will help support the 2019 Movement Project Benefit Show, as well as individuals in developing nations like Ghana, Haiti, and Bolivia.
If you have any question, please contact Cecilia Woods.
We are excited to welcome Kristin Wall, the Director of Every Child to present this Sunday at Big Table. Most of you are familiar with Every Child as we have done a few projects with them, specifically at the South Eugene DHS office. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about Every Child and how Awakening Church can continue to serve along-side them to love, care, and support vulnerable children and families in Lane County.
We will have nursery and pre-school child care available this Sunday.
Please bring a brunch pot-luck item to share with the church!
Following service, we will have a meeting with parents and youth to discuss the plans for grades 6th-12th at Awakening Church. Please bring a sack lunch. Drinks will be provided.
If you have any specific questions please email eric@awakeningeugene.org or Cbelisle@yahoo.com
We will be having a chili cook off contest this week. If you would like to participate, please email - eric@awakeningeugene.org. If you are not cooking chili, please bring a side item to share and if you’re able, bring some extra food for those who aren’t able to bring food or for any guests that show up on Sunday that didn’t know about the potluck. Drinks will be provided.
There is no children’s ministry offered on Big Table Sundays, but please don’t let that stop you from coming. Embrace the chaos…ha! There will be an open room for parents to go with their kiddo/s if they need to get out some energy.
