Clint McKinnis - Lead Pastor

Hello, my name is Clint. My wife Rachel and I have been married since 2003 and have 4 children (Elias, Jael, Ashenafi, Teru). We are from Indiana but have called Eugene home since we moved here in 2009. We live in the Whiteaker neighborhood and love it. I serve as the Lead Pastor of Awakening Church but also work one day a week as a Physical Therapist at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eugene. Kayla Franklin - Worship Pastor

I have been married to my hilarious, supportive, rock-solid husband, Aaron, since 2008. We have three awesome daughters, Eleanor (Nora), Margot and Louisa. They are spunky, joyful, strong-willed, compassionate, adventurous and bring so much light into our lives. My husband and I love to spend time together laughing at our favorite shows, traveling, and being with family and enjoying nature. I believe that when we humbly worship Jesus, we can experience His presence in life-changing and profound ways. I am excited to continue learning what it means to be a dedicated worshipper of the King and to partner with our church body as we pursue Jesus.

Geneva Burford - Children’s Ministry Pastor

Hello! I am Geneva Burford. I have long been passionate about supporting families as they help their children know, love, and follow Jesus for all their days! I moved to Oregon in 2017 after living in Idaho, Nebraska & California. Oregon has become my beloved home. I enjoy a range of activities, but my favorite thing to do is to explore nature by hiking and kayaking whenever possible, especially if I can go with a friend! Honesty, I am usually up for just about anything provided I can do it with a friend. My community is very valuable to me. I currently work as a receptionist at a tax accounting firm, but my background includes several years of working with youth and children in a variety of capacities including ministry. I am looking forward to getting to know you and your family!
